1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Foodie app ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Use of the Service

Foodie is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.

3. Account Termination

We reserve the absolute and unconditional right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any actual or suspected violation of these Terms, or for any reason we deem appropriate at our sole discretion. You waive any and all claims related to such termination.

4. AI-Generated Information Disclaimer

Foodie uses AI to analyze food and provide health-related insights. This information is not reviewed by medical professionals and may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or inappropriate for your individual situation. The app is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Use it at your own risk.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Foodie, its owners, affiliates, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service, including but not limited to health decisions, loss of data, or account access issues.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Foodie+ is an optional paid subscription that offers enhanced features. Payments are processed through the platform (App Store or Google Play), and by subscribing, you agree to their billing terms. All subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Required Permissions and Data Collection

• Camera access is required for food scanning functionality.
• Location access is optional and used to display meals on a global food map.
• We collect your name and may collect other optional personal data (e.g., date of birth, height, weight) to improve AI insights.

8. Third-Party Services

Foodie uses third-party services such as Google Ads, which may collect anonymous usage data for advertising purposes. Your use of these services is subject to their own privacy and data practices.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Any disputes arising out of or related to the use of the Service shall be exclusively resolved in the competent courts of Saudi Arabia. By using the app, you consent to this jurisdiction.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
